| Boundaries blurred continue throughout Participant as donated artworks are installed outside of the gallery and art-project areas. Diversity of materials is driven by site-specific conditions of the found interior space. Surfaces and areas in-between the renovated ‘islands’ are left intact.
With its shifting art profile in-between different media, both high and low tech, Participant can use all its areas and surfaces for both art projects or everyday workspace at free will, without putting its character and identity in war. A video installation by Charles Atlas may come in place where Virgil’s mirror constructions hung.
Spatial and visual flexibility are to be found inside the geometry of the voids, ‘gluing’ rough and sleek surfaces together in a non-hegemonic art space...beginning>>
